Day 10: Throwback Thursday - My Favourite Food Moment

I thought of doing a Throwback Thursday for today and add some variety to my full length posts in the challenge so far. I love to share pictures from the past on my social media accounts. (I have laid my hands on an old hard drive, so expect more such treats in the future!) There are so many memories of lovely things we have seen and people we have been with. Old albums also show how we have changed over the years.

The one today isn't from too far in the past. It is from a trip to the US in March this year. I chose these photos because they are a special food memory. Any one who knows me well also knows that I am not a foodie. I don't go out of my way to find restaurants/cuisines or swear by the vada pao of any particular stall in Mumbai! But for some reason, I loved these pancakes and waffles during breakfast in New Jersey. I want to start at their sheer size! (I tried waffles at Aromas in India and got some sad looking waffles with lonely bananas on the side) The blueberry pancakes were truly delicious! And the strawberry-banana combo on the waffles when scooped with maple syrup poured on it was bliss!

#NaBloPoMo Day 19 - Throwback Thursday from 7 years ago

I ran into this picture while looking for a Throwback Thursday idea. This also makes sense since this is from the first year of our marriage and in a couple of days we are going to complete 8! Looking at this picture is like looking back through the tinted glasses of time and thinking - Woa! We look so different! And younger! :) I did write a post for our 7th anniversary last year and will do one for this anniversary too.

It is from our first (and my only, so far) trip to the US. We took a boat ride in Chicago. It was a nice, summer evening and we went around as the sun set leaving the sky with gorgeous colours. We went on to visit Portland, Pittsburg, New York and Las Vegas during the same trip. What a journey it has been! I mean both, the trip and our relationship! :)

ThrowbackThursday - Memories from 2012

I am declared the super blogger this week by Blog chatter during their blog chat which happens every wednesday at 8.30 pm. I am using the opportunity to blog every day for 7 days to justify the honour. Since it's only laziness between me and my wonderful writing, I think it is a great way to kick myself into action!

For the first post this week, I ran into this much forgotten photo with the spouse. It was taken at a family function in 2012. I cherish such couple photos more also because we do not have a lot of them together. Initially, we used to ask people to click a couple photo during our travels. And then it just got a little odd to do that and we just got busy clicking the hotel rooms and scenery around. Of course, this is before the selfie wave hit us and we aren't so much of selfie buffs. 

Anyways, I digress. The most exciting bit for me when I look at old photos is to stare at them and wonder how much have I changed. Do I look older now? Maybe, you can tell me in your comments :)

I also want to spare a word for this saree - one from my Satya Paul collection and drapes pretty well. This also reminds me that this was the last time I probably draped this one - not many opportunities for sarees and each one has to wait a long time for its turn.
